Maleficent Headdress and Staff Tutorial by BluecrownStudios Maleficent Headdress and Staff Tutorial by BluecrownStudios
So this is a tutorial I made for constructing a headdress, neckpiece, feet and staff for the new 2014 Maleficent movie.  This is the first tutorial I've ever made, mostly because this is also the first costume I've ever made!  There are other pieces, and once I'm done with those I will post pictures of the whole outfit being worn.  Like I say at the end of the image, please help me out by adding the image to your favorites, commenting, asking questions, and posting (constructive) criticism.  Thanks so much!

If you want a more user-friendly tutorial, you can find it here:  www.instructables.com/id/Malef…

Question would the devil horns work if their were not put in the headdress or would I have to buy or make a pair of horns?

Well the horns came with an elastic clear plastic band so they would stay on the head without the headpiece.  Is that what you were asking?  XD

Oh gotcha!  Yeah that should work then.  You can always attach them to a stiff headband or some other thing if you want to hide them in your hair and reduce movement.

The dowel is about 4.5' long and about a 3/4" in diameter.

Love your take on the character! It's original, but at the same time it's true to the character ^^ 5*

Aww thank you!  My goal was exactly that- to be original but not deviate from who the character is.  Thanks again!!!
